Well, it's not like at school. Fastansy history is always funner to learn and understand (for us LotR buffs anyways). Here's what I've typed thus far for the history of Fenrir, who turns into the Dog Lord of Apupa:
In the year 2561 of the Wolf Lands, a great evil came into the world. He was known only as the Wolf King, and had engulfed the region of Dar-Koldor in darkness. Wolves became corrupt, and the leaders of the free nations came together to discuss what could be done to counter this grave threat. At this assembly, came a wolf by the name of Fenrir, the governing lord of a fertile land called Apupa, the closest land to Dar-Koldor. He found however, that he had arrived late, and a hooded wolf took his place. The leaders were to receive great swords of magical power, and Fenrir was not to receive one.
Later, as he was leaving, he was pulled aside by the hooded wolf, which turned out to be none other than the Wolf King himself, who promised Fenrir power beyond desire and more in exchange for his services. As he was ever greedy for power, Fenrir obliged, and upon returning to Apupa, slaughtered his people and turned the verdant land into desolation. Bleak rock and crude machinery, a representation of the Dog Lord’s greed and haughty pride, marred the once green landscape.
Unfortunately for Fenrir, who had taken the title of the “Dog Lord” (for in his now corrupt and arrogant mind, dogs were easier to dominate than wolves were), several of his people had escaped and informed the country of Tar-Koldor of the Dog Lord’s actions. They immediately took action, and with the help of the Doggior (populated by dogs, the very folk the Dog Lord looked down upon as inferior) overthrew the Dog Lord and slew him upon the battlefield.
However victorious the battle was, the leaders of the free world did not know of the Dog Lord’s extensive knowledge of necromancy. While his enemies were celebrating his demise, his shamans were hard at work, attempting to resurrect him. They were unsuccessful, until one hundred years later.
The year was now 2673, and a young dog prince had become a fine warrior and skilled ranger. His name was Max, and his deadly accuracy and tactical leadership had turned back many Apupan insurgencies. His thoughts began to dwell on Apupa itself, and his father soon sent him on an errand to observe in secret what evil had been brewing in that dark land.
Meanwhile, in Apupa’s northern territory, the old castallin of the realm Lycan had been exiled from Apupa by the shamans, who had since assumed control over the desolate region as they had been unsuccessful in resurrecting the Dog Lord. But, rather than be removed from North Apupa, Lycan began to create an army of wolves ready to conquer the might of the Dog Lord’s vassals...
Little did Lycan know that his vassals had unknowingly succeeded in their task, for shortly after Lycan’s dismissal, the shamans abruptly died, as if struck with lightning, and from their altar rose the preserved body of the Dog Lord, alive and well, brought back to life by the Dark Wolf Cellorond. Fenrir was as strong now as he was ever, and, while in death, dreams he had of a small dog overthrowing him and killing him once and for all. Haunted he was by them, for in his looking, discovered that dog to be Max of the Doggior. He was a threat that had to be dealt with immediately. And what better way than to assault his home country and have him fly into a trap?
However well trained and brilliant the Dog Lord was, he still had one weakness: he kept the mindset that dogs are inferior creatures that can be easily disposed of. This was quite puzzling as the Dog Lord was overthrown in a war against dogs. Perhaps he still retained the belief that he was indomitable, and that nowolf could overthrow him.
At this time, Max, accompanied by his female lover Moll and his close friends Coco, Twilight, Shadow, and Raven, all battle trained captains of the Doggior and a small handful of rangers had set off for Apupa. Their objective was simply to scout ahead, as Apupa’s power had seemingly risen in recent years; its military might stronger than ever before. Armies of Apupan soldiers were amassing and it disturbed the companions, as the Doggior had earned great resentment among the Dog Lord’s servants.
Their simple mission soon turned into a growing war. The Dog Lord, still haunted by his dreams of Max, employs the help of assassins hailing from Pupiokoli. Dark cloaked wolves rode forth from Varnakh, the capital of Pupiokoli, to hunt down and kill Max, ending the Dog Lord’s qualms. He began to rally his own soldiers to him and ready for a great war in which he planned to crush the Doggior and the eastern Tar-Koldor for good.
From the North he sent for the fox armies under the rule of Vulpus, the Shaman King of the Fox Empire. Attacks ravaged the northern provinces of the Doggior, but Max heeded them not, for he had more pressing business to the south. Pupiokoli’s armies had attacked from Battlement Row, a great wall hundreds of miles long, and assaulted the Doggior. Max had to hasten there, and with his small band of determined rangers and veteran infantry, aid the beleaguered forces of the Doggior.
At this time, the Great King Kurrukk of Pupiokoli swore allegiance to the Dog Lord once again. From the iron and brazen gates of Varnakh, he sent a contingent of assassins, ready to easy the qualms of his overlord. Clad in long black cloaks and bearing bronze helmets emblazoned with the symbol of Cellorond, they set out to hunt Max down.
By this time, Max had entered the Dragon Mountains, just north of the fortress of Koldron. The tired rangers and soldiers encountered the last of the true dragons of the world. Aided by their chief, Drako, they set off for Koldron, only to find that they arrive just in the nick of time. A massive army of bronze clad wolves from Pupiokoli along with the jackals that dwelt in the desert region had assaulted the bastion
